he new adventure of “Action Drama Prince” Gerald Anderson is finally on its way

The new adventure of “Action Drama Prince” Gerald Anderson is finally on its way as he gears up for Wansapanataym’s Rod Santiago’s ‘Buhawi Jack’ starting this Saturday, January 22 on ABS-CBN.
Buhawi Jack is the comeback adventure for Gerald Anderson as he portrays another important role after his first action series “Agimat Presents Tiagong Akyat.” Gerald underwent daily training of “Arnis” (a Pinoy martial art) as his preparation for his role.
“Arnis kasi yung martial art dito and the cast members really need to learn the basics para we can do our fight scenes well,” Gerald states in one of his interviews.
Coming from a clan of showbiz royalties, Rap Fernandez will also be gracing the mentioned series. He will give life to Buhawi Jack’s nemesis, Rex Vergara. This will be Rap’s first break in showbusiness and also his first appearance as a Kapamilya. In an interview where he was asked how he will be rated as villain in the series, Rap said “Sana wag naman masyado, maganda naman kasi yung kontrabidang meron paring puso, may pinanggagalingan hindi lang parang sa cartoons, ganun diba”.
Together with Gerald and Rap is one of the newest Kapamilya stars,Jewel Mische who will portray a challenging role, Vera, which serves as her first major project in the Kapamilya Network after her appearance in Maalaala Mo Kaya. Jewel also underwent a special training for arnis for the said series.
Bugoy Carino will also be spicing up the series as he proves that he is indeed part of the league of young child superstars.
The powerhouse cast of ‘Buhawi Jack’ will surely spice up your Saturday night as A-list stars Philip Salvador (as Jaime Isidro), Joel Torre (as Manuel Miranda), Mark Gil (as Roger Vergara), and Tetchie Agbayani (as Mildred Vergara) play an important part in this much awaited action-adventure series.
From the creator of Agua Bendita, Nato de Coco and Bandanang Itim,Rod Santiago’s ‘Buhawi Jack’ is an action-adventure series that paints the country’s historical backdrops of people, places and things. The story revolves around the adventures of Jack, Vera, Rex and their quest to solve puzzles from the past that will greatly affect the future. It was first seen as a movie in 1998 with Monsour Del Rosario as Jack Isidro and Ara Mina, Carmina Villaroel and Niño Muhlach.
