“Pilipinas Got Talent” maintained its lead in weekend viewing nationwide based on Kantar Media’s TV Ratings for March 11-13, 2011.

“Pilipinas Got Talent” continuous to dominate nationwide ratings as it topped the weekend top 20 last Saturday and Sunday. PGT rated 29.3% last Saturday versus “Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho” (20.1%) and the grand finals of “Talentadong Pinoy.” (18.4%). PGT rated 28%, on the other hand, last Sunday as compared to its rival show “Show Me Da Manny” (12.3%).

The whole country saw the birth of two promising singing heartthrobs— Jose Emmanuel Cubil of Talisay, Cebu (left), and Kevin James Sisco of Quezon City (right)— who managed to get through the next round with their voice and charms.

Temptation of Wife ruled the daytime race last Monday but it was tied at no. 1 with Eat Bulaga! last Tuesday. The longest-running noontime show took over the no. 1 slot in Mega Manila last Wednesday and Thursday while the Koreanovela settled for no. 2.
So what is the cause of Temptation of Wife‘s weakening ratings this week? I think the culprit is ABS-CBN’s Sabel. The Jessy Mendiola-starrer has moved to an earlier timeslot to go head-to-head against the top-rating Koreanovela. And because the Kapamilya soap opera managed to take some viewers from Temptation of Wife, the decline of the latter’s ratings allowed Eat Bulaga! to snatch the top spot once again.

The new Kapamilya fantaserye premiered last Monday night with 11.9% in Mega Manila beating Dwarfina by just 0.1% Dwarfina is the previous primetime leader in Mega Manila but because of the strong debut of “Mutya”, it dropped to no. 4. It actually helped Mara Clara clinch the no. 1 spot because it was able to steal some viewers of Dwarfina.
The challenge now is for “Mutya” to maintain the high ratings that it received in order to beat “Dwarfina” in the coming days. But by virtue of its 0.1% difference lead from its rival program, it’s gonna be difficult for sure.
