he new adventure of “Action Drama Prince” Gerald Anderson is finally on its way

The new adventure of “Action Drama Prince” Gerald Anderson is finally on its way as he gears up for Wansapanataym’s Rod Santiago’s ‘Buhawi Jack’ starting this Saturday, January 22 on ABS-CBN.
Buhawi Jack is the comeback adventure for Gerald Anderson as he portrays another important role after his first action series “Agimat Presents Tiagong Akyat.” Gerald underwent daily training of “Arnis” (a Pinoy martial art) as his preparation for his role.
“Arnis kasi yung martial art dito and the cast members really need to learn the basics para we can do our fight scenes well,” Gerald states in one of his interviews.
Coming from a clan of showbiz royalties, Rap Fernandez will also be gracing the mentioned series. He will give life to Buhawi Jack’s nemesis, Rex Vergara. This will be Rap’s first break in showbusiness and also his first appearance as a Kapamilya. In an interview where he was asked how he will be rated as villain in the series, Rap said “Sana wag naman masyado, maganda naman kasi yung kontrabidang meron paring puso, may pinanggagalingan hindi lang parang sa cartoons, ganun diba”.
Together with Gerald and Rap is one of the newest Kapamilya stars,Jewel Mische who will portray a challenging role, Vera, which serves as her first major project in the Kapamilya Network after her appearance in Maalaala Mo Kaya. Jewel also underwent a special training for arnis for the said series.
Bugoy Carino will also be spicing up the series as he proves that he is indeed part of the league of young child superstars.
The powerhouse cast of ‘Buhawi Jack’ will surely spice up your Saturday night as A-list stars Philip Salvador (as Jaime Isidro), Joel Torre (as Manuel Miranda), Mark Gil (as Roger Vergara), and Tetchie Agbayani (as Mildred Vergara) play an important part in this much awaited action-adventure series.
From the creator of Agua Bendita, Nato de Coco and Bandanang Itim,Rod Santiago’s ‘Buhawi Jack’ is an action-adventure series that paints the country’s historical backdrops of people, places and things. The story revolves around the adventures of Jack, Vera, Rex and their quest to solve puzzles from the past that will greatly affect the future. It was first seen as a movie in 1998 with Monsour Del Rosario as Jack Isidro and Ara Mina, Carmina Villaroel and NiƱo Muhlach.

Vina Morales returns to acting in Wansapanataym’s “Ulo” episode

This Saturday, January 15, Vina Morales returns to acting in Wansapanataym’s “Ulo” episode.

Kahit pa first love ang pagkanta, pinahayag ni Vina Morales sa isang panayam na miss na niya ang umarte. Kaya naman todo bigay sa akting ang singer/actress sa episode ng Wansapanataym na pinamagatang “Ulo” na eere na ngayong Sabado, January 15 sa ABS-CBN.
“Noong binigyan ako ng ABS-CBN ng chance na bumalik sa pag-arte via Agua Bendita, natuwa talaga ako. Mahal ko ang pagkanta pero nakakamiss rin talaga ang pag-arte,” saad ni Vina. Dagdag pa nito, “Ngayon naman after Agua (Bendita), Wansapanataym naman. Maganda yung episode na ito. Promise. Nakakatuwa pa si Miguel (De Guzman).”
Sa kwento, si Miguel De Guzman ay gaganap bilang isang batang pinanganak na may malaking ulo. Madalas itong ulanin ng tukso dahil sa kakaibang katangian nito. Kalaunan ay madidiskubre nito na may kakaiba siyang kakayahan na siyang magaangat sa buhay ng pamilya niya. Gaganap na ina nito si Vina at ang ama naman ay si Emilio Aguinaldo.
Abangan ang magandang kwentong hatid ng “Wansapanataym” ngayong Sabado, ang “Ulo,” pagkatapos ng TV Patrol sa ABS-CBN.

This Saturday, Melissa Ricks gives life to a legendary character, Valentina, in ABS-CBN’s Wansapanataym.


Melissa Ricks considers her role as Valentina as a dream come true, “Kilalang karakter na po kasi si Valentina. Marami na rin ang nag-portray sa character na yun. Ngayong binigyan ako ng chance to give life to such a popular character, dream come true po talaga.”

Melissa Ricks will be paired with Alex Castro, a commercial model-politician-turned-actor. This will be their first team up. “Noong umpisa nahihiya pa ko talaga, pero mabilis ko naman nakagaanan ng loob si Melissa kaya naging maayos ang working relationship namin. Mabait siya,” Alex shared.

Valentina is a woman born with snakes as her hair. This was due to the curse given by a woman named Anna, the mother of the man she will fall in love with.

Meanwhile, ‘Wansapanataym’ still reigns on its timeslot. According to Kantar Media’s national ratings result last Saturday, ‘Wansapanataym’ earned a high of 26% as it trounced its rival programs “Kaya ng Powers” and “Jejemom” which only garnered scores of 13.9% and 14.4% respectively.

‘Wansapanataym’ touches on a different genre this Saturday

‘Wansapanataym’ touches on a different genre this Saturday as it gives its viewers chilling scenes with ‘Kakambal Ko’y Manika’ which stars Star Magic talents namely, Jessy Mendiola and Aj Perez.
“Kakambal Ko’y Manika” circles on the story of Lena and Leni, twins who have unsettled differences. They look alike, but they hold opposite personalities. Lena envies Leni. She feels that Leni is the favorite while she’s the one neglected. The two will get into a fight that will cause Leni’s death. Lena will pretend to be Leni so that she will feel and experience the acceptance and attention that has been showered upon her twin sister. This is where the unexplainable things begin. Leni’s spirit will enter Lena’s doll and will start to haunt her sister.
This episode will also be the launch pad of Jessy Mendiola and AJ Perez as a love team. “I’m happy to be teamed up with AJ Perez. I’d say na pareho pa kaming bago sa showbusiness, kumbaga, we still have a lot to learn kaya inaalalayan naming ang isa’t isa. I know we still have projects lined-up na pagsasamahan pa namin.” Jessy expressed.
On the other hand, Wanasapanataym continues to be strong on its timeslot as it earned a national rating of 27% last Saturday (October 30) according to Kantar Media. Its rival program on GMA 7, “Kaya Ng Powers,” only garnered a national rating of 13.6%.

“Wansapanataym’s Cara” beginning this Saturday on ABS-CBN

Award-winning actress, Alessandra de Rossi takes us to her lighter side as she plays a funny and comical character in the enchanting story of “Wansapanataym’s Cara” beginning this Saturday on ABS-CBN.

Known for her villainous roles on TV drama, Alessandra will now play a different role from what she used to do. From being the bad “Divina” in Agua Bendita to being the funny “Cara” in Wansapanataym, viewers will surely be surprised with her unique character portrayal in the said fantasy-drama series.

ABS-CBN’S ‘Wansapanataym’ proved that its magic still works

ABS-CBN’S ‘Wansapanataym’ proved that its magic still works as it topped the Saturday television programming nationwide according to Kantar Media.

With a 29.1% rating, ‘Wansapantaym’s Inday Balitaw,’ won over GMA 7’s ‘Kaya ng Powers’ which only earned 16.9%.

Maja Salvador, who currently topbills tha two-part series expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support showered upon the first part of Inday Balitaw, “Ang saya saya po. Noong nalaman ko na mataas po yung rating ng Inday Balitaw, ang sarap po sa pakiramdam. Kasi kahit ako, pinapanood ko ang Wansapanataym noon. Kaya nakakatuwang isipin na hindi pa rin bumitaw ang manonood sa Wansapanataym. Salamat po ng marami.”

Matteo Guidicelli, Maja’s on-screen partner, is also very thankful for the brimming support of the viewers not only to ‘Wansapanataym’, but to his first time team-up with Maja.
