The Sisters (2011)


Ipinapakilala ng TV5 ang isa na namang dramaseryeng magtatampok ng kaabang-abang na istoryang paniguradong tututukan ng mga manonood tuwing gabi. Simula ngayong Lunes, Hulyo 18, ang panonood ng primetime ay mas pagiigtingin ng intense drama at naiibang mga karakter sa kauna-unahang TV adaptation ng classic Pinoy comics na Rod’s Santiago’s The Sisters.


Pinangungunahan ng pinakabagong Kapatid star at ang tinaguriang prime actress ng kanyang henerasyon, si Nadine Samonte sa kanyang challenging dual role, ang Rod Santiago’s The Sisters ay nagtataglay ng naiibang istorya ng kambal na sina Cristina at Bella Santiago at ang kani-kanilang desisyong susubok sa relasyon nila bilang magkapatid.

Magkamukha man ang dalawa sa kanilang pisikal na anyo, sila ay may angkin ding pagkakaiba na siyang magdidikta ng kanilang kapalaran. Sina Cristina at Bella ay mahuhulog din sa mga patibong na inihanda ng kanilang mapagpanggap na tiyahing si Socorro (Rio Locsin), na hindi mapipigilan sa paghihiganti sa kambal at sa kanilang pamilya.

Ibinabalik din ng pinakabagong primetime series na ito ang isa sa pinakamagaling actor na natunghayan sa pelikula at telebisyon, si Leandro Munoz. Gaganap na kababata ng kambal, ang kanyang karakter bilang si Rafael ay maiipit sa isang kumplikadong love triangle na makakaapekto sa relasyon ng magkapatid.

Sa ilalim ng di mapantayang direksyon ni Bb. Joyce Bernal at Argel Joseph, ang Rod Santiago’s The Sisters ay nagtatampok ng powerhouse cast na kinabibilangan nina Eddie Garcia, Alicia Alonzo, Zoren Legaspi, Lotlot De Leon, Susan Africa, Edgar Allan Guzman, Rocky Gutierrez, Alyana Asistio, James Blanco, Wendell Ramos at ipinakikilala sina Eula Caballero at Victor Silayan.

Inihahandog din ang napakahusay na pagsasalin ng kantang “Hiram” na kinanta ni Faith Cuneta kasama ang Philharmonic Orchestra at Gerald Salonga bilang theme song ng dramaserye.

Huwag palalagpasin ang pagbubukas sa telebisyon ng isang napakagandang kuwentong tatatak sa puso ng bawat manonood. Simula ngayong Hulyo 18, mapapanood na ang Rod Santiago’s The Sisters mula Lunes hanggang Biyernes pagkatapos ng Bangis sa TV5.

Starting this Monday, July 18, primetime viewing is spiced with intense drama and unique characters in the first TV adaptation of a classic Pinoy comics series – Rod Santiago’s The Sisters.


Top-billed by the newest Kapatid star who is touted as the prime actress of her generation, Nadine Samonte in a challenging dual role, Rod Santiago’s The Sisters features the compelling story of twin sisters Cristina and Bella Santiago whose relationship is put to the test with the consequences of their personal choices and the obstacles that fate brings their way.
The Santiago twins may look exactly alike, but beneath their identical facade lies an extreme difference that entails their twisted fate. Cristina and Bella will also fall prey to the scheming ways of their vindictive aunt Socorro (Rio Locsin), who will stop at nothing to take everything from the sisters and their family.
This new primetime series also brings back one of the most talented actors and sought after leading men to popular dramatic actresses, Leandro Munoz. Portraying the role of the twins’ childhood friend Rafael, his character will be enmeshed in a complicated love triangle that will greatly affect the bond between the two sisters.
