Filipinos can’t help but twist and shout along with their favorite stars last Saturday and Sunday as ABS-CBN premiered its newest singing game show “Twist and Shout.”
This new weekend Kapamilya offering hosted by Concert King Martin Nievera and Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, grabbed the second slot from the Top 20 most watched programs for Saturday (July 3) and rated at 26.6% according to Kantar Media/TNS.
“Twist and Shout” became an instant talk of the town as viewers rave about the hilarious performances rendered by features celebrities who were tasked to sing the country’s top hits while facing distractions such as running on a treadmill or being dipped in ice-cold water.
This Saturday (July 10), Jericho Rosales, Princess Velasco, Sitti, OJ Mariano, Duncan Ramos, and Carlos Agassi will undergo the ultimate test of singing prowess which Kitkat, Ney ng 6CycleMind, Joy Viado, Yael Yuzon, Luke Mijares, and DJ Myk will also go through on Sunday (July 11).
“Twist and Shout” is a franchise from Zodiak Entertainment, a production and distribution group which aired the format in countries such as France, India, and Indonesia. The show received a very positive response from its viewers and it continues to air in other countries in its new title “Sing If You Can…”
