“Matanglawin” was recognized by Lingkod TV Awards.

Multi-awarded science and environment-oriented television show “Matanglawin” garnered yet another recognition in the groundbreaking partnership between the National Council for Children’s Television and the Department of Education during the Lingkod TV awards held last December 28.
The show, hosted by Kim Atienza, won as the Most Child-Friendly Educational Show of the year based on votes collected nationwide.

Despite his absence during the ceremonies at Fort Bonifacio, Kuya Kim extended his warmest thanks to all who watched and supported the program since its beginnings almost three years ago.
Late last year, “Matanglawin” was relaunched after Kuya Kim underwent a heart procedure following his stroke in August. The new format featured more high-tech innovations in presenting trivia and information, and introduced PBB teen housemate and “Showtime” hurado Ryan Bang as Kuya Kim’s apprentice.
It was well-received by the audience, with episodes such as Dinosaurs; Toys and Games; and Food and the Digestive System.

This Sunday (January 9), Kuya Kim will discuss the smartest animals and even have Rey, an explosive-detection K-9 unit demonstrate how fast he can find an explosive shell hidden in the set.
Don’t miss “Matanglawin” every Sunday at 9:30 AM with replays on ANC and TFC.
