Face to Face Moves to Afternoon Timeslot

TV5’s afternoon and primetime blocks get even more exciting with the network’s revamped program grid.

Starting Monday, September 26, TV5’s public service afternoon block fortifies as top-rated baranggay hall on air Face to Face moves to the 4:30 pm timeslot, followed by the Tulfo brothers’ T3: Kapatid Sagot Kita at 5:30 pm. News program Aksyon completes the public service trio at 6:00 pm.
By bringing two opposing camps in a forum, Face to Face aims to enlighten and eventually reconcile the two erring parties with the help and guidance of experts. Hosted by Amy Perez, Face to Face has been a consistent morning top-rater. Now that it is moving to the afternoon timeblock, it promises a bigger and better show that aims to reach out to more viewers.
TV5’s primetime also shakes up as Willie Revillame’s popular game-variety show Wil Time Big Time starts airing earlier at 6:30 p.m. on weeknights. Viewers will then be treated to back-to-back action and adventure with well-loved series Bangis and aksyonserye Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum. All these and more only on TV5.

1 year celebration for "Face To face"

On its first anniversary, the pioneering talak-serye pays back to its millions of viewers by presenting the show’s most explosive episodes yet from April 4 to 8 (Monday to Friday) and through a special anniversary segment titled “Abot-Kamay, Kapatid” that reaches out to the people who have been part of the show.
Starting on Monday (April 4), Face to Face showcases a series of special episodes that feature the next talk-of-the-town stories, major confrontations, tear-jerking revelations, infidelity caught-on-camera and a grand wedding spectacle—all in one week. It also highlights “Abot-Kamay, Kapatid,” a gift-giving segment for the benefit of past case subjects of the number one daytime show.

Citing data from Nielsen Media Research from March 1 to 23, Face to Face is still the most watched program in Mega Manila on its timeslot (10:30-11:30am), with 30% audience share versus GMA’s 28% and ABS-CBN’s 25%.
As it enters its second year, the “Barangay Hall On-Air” continues to mirror domestic and communal conflicts of Filipinos, and tries to resolve every single dispute by pinning down the root cause of the problem with host Amy Perez as a referee and the Trio Tagapayo—comprised of Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) chief Atty. Persida Acosta and Atty. Ben Persida, legal experts; Fr. Sonny Merida and Fr. Gerry Tapiador, spiritual advisers; and Dr. Camille Caces-Garcia, resident psychiatrist—sharing their expertise to infuse reason amidst warring parties.

“The overnight success of Face to Face on daytime is proof that no formula works every time on TV. We’ve witnessed how Face to Face soared to become the most favourite program among thousands of households over the past year. We’re proud of this show because it continues to offer venue to discuss, and hopefully fix problems,” said Mr. Perci Intalan, Head of Entertainment and Creative Production of TV5.
The success of Face to Face also gave birth to a spin-off show that narrates the real accounts behind the most remarkable stories tackled on the show—Untold Stories Mula sa Face to Face. The drama anthology is also hosted by Amy Perez and airs every Thursday night after Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak.
The most engaging anniversary special of Face to Face happens from Monday to Friday (April 4-8), 10:30-11:30am only on TV5.
