Viewers can expect a lot of heightened drama and revelations as the half-scorpion protagonist played by Louise delos Reyes, faces the toughest and most painful decision in her life in GMA Network’s high-rating afternoon series Alakdana.

After saving her mother, Teresa (Jean Garcia), Adana (Louise delos Reyes) visits Billy (Paulo Avelino) in the hospital only to find him with Rachel (Gwen Zamora). A tearful Adana runs away but Billy immediately comforts her. They eventually kiss and make up and profess their love for each other.
But Adana’s happiness is cut short every time her scorpion tail starts to appear whenever Billy is around. She thinks of ways on how to break the curse that has been a heavy burden in her life. And the only way to get rid of her cursed tail is to cut it.
In her strong desire to live a normal life with Billy, will Adana continue with her plan to remove her scorpion tail? If her plan turns successful, will her tail disappear permanently or will it grow back to its menacing form?
Directed by Mac Alejandre, Alakdana also stars Matthew Mendoza, Jobelle Salvador, Alden Richards, Ritchie Paul Gutierrez, Ian de Leon, Karla Estrada, Eunice Lagunsad, Joanna Marie Tan and Perla Bautista.

Magsisimula ang kuwento ng Alakdana sa istorya nina Vergel, isang mayamang businessman na magkakagusto sa kanilang kasambahay na si Teresa. Matatag ang kanilang pag-iibigan sa kabila ng kanilang pagtatago mula sa mga magulang ni Vergel, ngunit ito ay magbabago sa pagbabalik ng ex-girlfriend at kababata ni Vergel na si Zoila. Handa si Zoila na gawin ang lahat upang makuhang muli ang pagmamahal ni Vergel, kaya sa tulong ng isang ermitanyo ay malalaman niya ang tungkol sa gintong alakdan at gagamitin ang kapangyarihan nito.

Sa tulong ng gintong alakdan ay malalason ang isipan ni Vergel, kaya iiwan nito si Teresa at babalik it okay Zoila. Ito rin ang lalason at magsusumpa kay Teresa, na nagdadalang-tao na sa anak nila ni Vergel. Dito maisisilang si Adana, na ipinanganak na may buntot ng alakdan.

Sa kabila ng kanyang kakaibang itsura, aalagaan at mamahalin si Adana ng kanyang ina, at lalaki itong maka-Diyos at mapagmahal na bata. Ngunit pahihirapan siya ng kanyang mga kalarong nais malaman kung bakit palaging mahabang palda ang suot nito. Ipinagtatanggol siyang parati ng kanyang kaibigang si Joma mula sa mga nagpapahirap sa kanya.

Ngunit dahil sa isang trahedya ay malalaman ng mga tao ang tungkol sa buntot ni Adana, at mapipilitan silang magpakalayo para sa kaligtasan ni Adana. Paano kaya mababago ng pangyayaring ito ang buhay nina Adana at Teresa? Malaman kaya ni Adana ang tunay na katauhan ng kanyang ama, at malaman kaya niya kung sino ang nasa likod ng kanyang pagkakasumpa? May magmamahal kaya sa babaeng may buntot ng alakdan? At sino kaya kina Billy, Gabriel at Joma ang makakahuli sa puso ni Adana?

Sa ilalim ng direksiyon ni Mac Alejandre ay maaasahan ng mga manonood ang isang madrama at makulay na istorya sa pagsisimula ng Alakdana, na mapapanood simula January 24 pagkatapos ng Eat Bulaga sa Dramarama sa Hapon ng GMA.

Richard Faulkerson, Jr. in real life, Alden is a 19-year-old commercial model from Sta. Rosa, Laguna. He is taking up Business Administration in De La Salle Canlubang.
Prior to his appearance in some tv commercials, Alden joined and won some pageants like Ginoong Sta. Rosa in 2009 and Ginoong Laguna in 2010.
He auditioned in GMA’s reality artista search StarStruck V and ABS-CBN’s reality program Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash of 2010. Although he made it to the shortlist of both programs, he failed to enter the final cut.
After being rejected by the two reality talent search, Alden did not lose heart as he auditioned for the role of Joma, one of Louise delos Reyes‘ leading men in the upcoming fantasy-drama “Alakdana.” He was the only one who walked-in to audition for the role as the four others who auditioned came from GMA’s youth-oriented programTween Hearts.
He won the role afterwards and he signed a 5 year contract with GMA-7.

GMA’s drama-fantasy series “Alakdana” is posed to sting the competition in the afternoon block beginning this Monday, January 24.

GMA-7 is currently dominating the daytime race in both AGB’s Mega Manila TV Ratings and Kantar Media’s National TV Ratings as well. In an attempt to strengthen their afternoon line-up even more, they are putting a fantaserye instead of a soap opera under their Dramarama sa Hapon block.
Louise delos Reyes will be launched in her first title role in the new fantasy-drama of the Kapuso network titled “Alakdana.” Her leading man in the series is the now hunkier Paulo Avelino. Newcomers Alden Richards and Ritchie Paul Gutierrez will also have her as love interest.
Other cast members inlcude Matthew Mendoza, Jobelle Salvador, Joonee Gamboa, Joanna Marie Tan, Ian de Leon, Karla Estrada and Jean Garcia.
Directed by Mac Alejandre, “Alakdana” is set to premiere this Monday, January 24, after Eat Bulaga!
